Hi Everyone! My name is Emerald, a Crafter of all sorts. Crafting was never been my skill and passion when I was a kid until I became teenager to adult. I only realized that I do love to craft when I started living in New Zealand at the age of 40 with my beloved “kiwi” husband.
The very first craft that I became interested in was cross stitch. One cross stitch project took a long time to make and I didn’t have enough patience to see the finished product so I stopped.
Then I switched to crochet. I love crocheting as I can make projects in a couple of hours or at least one finished project in a day. I’ve become obsessed and was able to create a lot. I even gave away some of my projects as donations to Plunket and Frankton Home for the Elderly. It was a great feeling that from my hobby I was able to make some children and old people happy.
However, I tried knitting as well but I immediately gave up since I find it complicated plus I didn’t have the patience needed to complete a project.
Time came when my husband started to ask me to do some alterations on his pants. I told him it would be easy if he would buy me a sewing machine so he bought me one. That’s when I started looking for sewing projects and was able to make a few.
I did try quilting too and happy to create something to decorate my table and wall.
Until I felt bored and find myself loving card making and scrap-booking and other paper crafting until now.
